Temperatures were in the 70s and buds were popping out everywhere. In other words, March in Texas. Saturday morning on the 20th - cold. Hmmm, weird. By Saturday afternoon - snow. By 3am Sunday morning - multiple inches of snow. This has been the oddest and most awesome winter and first 2 days of spring, ever.
If you scroll down to my post from last week, you will see a pretty yellow daffodil. Now, one week later...here is the same flower. :/ I don't mind though. This gives us the best of both worlds - beautiful flowers and beautiful snow. I love nighttime walks in the snow, daytime strolls through the neighborhood looking for flowers peeking out of the snow, and snowball fights with my son.
This has been my favorite 2nd day of spring!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! That's often what it looks like here in South Dakota...briefly blooming flowers smothered by snow! We actually have grass showing for now...but I'm sure we have a big storm coming. :)
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened here in New Mexico. Nice, warm early spring weather--lots of buds and leaves awakening, then BLAMMO, ice cold.
